What is included in the Eleasium safari tent packages?
Each package includes a luxury safari tent, a modular off-grid base with integrated utilities (water, power, and waste management). Add on options include premium furnishings. Additionally, we offer an optional marketing program to promote your accommodation so you are ready to welcome guests straight after installation.
Where are Eleasium safari tents made?
Eleasium has partnered with Canvas & Tent Australia, an industry leader since 1996. Renowned for the iconic Busthec Safari brand, the South African made tents deliver exceptional durability, style, and comfort, setting a new standard for off-grid accommodation.
Where are Eleasium modular bases made?
Eleasium’s unique modular bases have been designed by the in-house award winning design team. Materials are sourced locally in Australia where possible. Bases are assembled in Australia and constructed to Australian and state building codes.
Are the safari tents compliant with building regulations?
Eleasium safari tents and modular bases are fully compliant with Australian and state-level building codes. They are also wind, fire, and storm-rated for safety and durability.
How durable are the tents in extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, wind, or extreme heat)?
The tents are crafted with fire-rated, weather-resistant canvas and a robust framework, ensuring they perform well in diverse and challenging weather conditions.
How easy is it to replace are components (e.g.,zips, flysheets, water tanks)?
Tents and bases are extremely durable. Zips, flysheets, curtains, water tanks etc., can be replaced at short notice if required.
What warranties are provided for the safari tents and their components?
Eleasium provides a five-year structural warranty and a three-year plumbing and electrical warranty. Full terms can be found in our terms and conditions
What are the differences between the Apollo, Artemis, and Aphrodite safari tent packages?
Each package caters to different space and design needs. For example, Apollo offers the largest footprint and luxurious space with an expansive interior and exterior covered area, Artemis maximises interior floor area, and Aphrodite provides a cottage-style indoor / outdoor retreat with a charming covered verandah for a more intimate ambience.
Can the tents be customised to suit specific land or climate requirements?
Our safari tents are versatile and can be installed on various types of rural properties, including farms, vineyards, and coastal retreats. They are designed to blend seamlessly with natural surroundings and can be placed on slopes of up to 14 degrees.
Can the safari tents operate completely off-grid?
Yes, Eleasium safari tents are designed to run entirely off-grid. The modular bases include utilities such as plumbing for fresh, grey, and black water tanks, along with power solutions, making them ideal for remote rural locations.
Does the off-grid setup require regular servicing (e.g.,water tanks)?
All tanks (fresh water, grey water and black water) have a capacity of 2000L each. Black and grey water tanks need to be emptied approximately every six months and fresh water will need to be replenished monthly.
INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
What is the typical timeline for installation from contract signing to completion?
Approximately 16 weeks. Marketing starts 12 weeks prior to the installation.
Do I need council or development approvals?
Eleasium tents and bases have been built to Australian and state based building codes and as temporary structures, may be exempt from development approvals. Eleasium provides guidance on any approval processes, however following the correct process, is the responsibility of the landowner.

What are the key differences between leasing and outright purchasing?
Leasing offers a low-risk entry point with minimal upfront costs, while outright purchasing allows full ownership and long-term cost benefits.
Are there penalties for early termination of a lease agreement?
Lease terms include a minimum duration of six months. Early termination terms can be discussed during the agreement stage.
Can the monthly lease cost be adjusted based on occupancy rates or other metrics?
Lease costs are fixed, but starting with 37% occupancy can make leasing profitable under our model assumptions.
What happens to the tents at the end of a lease term?
You can choose to renew the lease, upgrade, purchase the tents outright or Eleasium can remove the tent and base leaving the land with minimal environmental impact.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
What is included in the cost (e.g., installation, furnishing)?
Costs include the safari tent, modular base with off-grid utilities. Furniture and marketing packages are available as add-ons. Installation costs will be quoted separately. A detailed cost breakdown will be provided in the contract.
What additional costs should be expected for maintenance or services?
Maintenance including black water, grey water and fresh water servicing and any cleaning or guest services are additional
How much revenue can I expect to generate?
Revenue potential depends on factors such as location, pricing, and occupancy. We have developed comprehensive customer P&Ls including room rate and occupancy calculators that we can share with you on request.
MARKETING
What kind of marketing support is included in the packages, and for how long is it provided?
Marketing begins 12 weeks before installation, including website creation, SEO, social media campaigns, and listings on major platforms like Airbnb. After launch, you have the option of subscribing to quarterly marketing packages
Do you assist with setting up online listings on platforms like Airbnb and HiCamp?
Yes, we guide you in setting up and managing listings to maximise visibility and bookings.
How do you ensure the tents are competitive in the local short-term accommodation market?
Our marketing team uses professional photography, optimised web content, and strategic advertising to highlight your tent’s unique appeal.
We will also monitor room rates in your area and send you a quarterly analysis.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
What level of ongoing support does Eleasium provide after installation?
We can arrange black water pump-out services at a call out fee. While routine maintenance and cleaning services are the landowner’s responsibility, we provide advice and resources to help you manage these tasks effectively
